• Social media is a great way to share photos of your tea parties, recruit volunteers and talk about your experiences of volunteering.
  • Try to make your posts unique and make them feel authentic.
  • If possible, try to give people a story that they can relate to or connect with.
  • Your posts will be more interesting if you post images with your text.
  • Replying to comments promptly and with enthusiasm is a great way to get others interested.
  • If you are worried about people seeing your personal information and posts, make sure you set your profile as fully private in the settings.
  • If you’re on LinkedIn, you could add your volunteer role with Re-engage to your LinkedIn profile.

Some guidance to keep in mind

Please remember that any social media account containing mention of Re-engage is a reflection of the charity.

  • When you take a photograph of anyone in your group, you must get their permission first. Never post photographs of anyone who doesn’t want to be photographed.  When taking a group photo, always ensure that you have everyone’s permission and ask those who don’t want to be photographed to step aside.
  • Re-engage has Facebook (@rengageuk), X (@reengageuk), LinkedIn (@re-engage) and Instagram (@reengageuk) pages if you would like to tag us.  We ask that you don’t set up local or regional pages.
  • When posting about Re-engage on your own personal pages, we ask that you reflect the vision and mission of the charity.
    • Please use profile pictures to showcase your group, rather than the Re-engage logo.
    • Please do not post politically or religiously affiliated/endorsing content.
  • If there’s anything we can do to support your social media posts, please tag us and get in touch with comms@reengage.org.uk to let us know.
