Lisa Gillette
Head of volunteering innovationWhen you volunteer with Re-engage you can be sure you’re making a difference in the lives of older people who are isolated and lonely. Our dedicated volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and play a vital role in everything we do.
We know how much is gained form the skills, experience, commitment and dedication that our volunteers bring. Together we can make a real difference to create meaningful connections and shared experiences; by enabling people to re-engage with one another.
Christmas Day events
We are not able to help volunteers organise Christmas Day events. However, if you wish to host an event at Christmas for older people in your area please visit our Community Christmas page.

Our policies
We've got key policies in place to ensure that your group runs smoothly
We take the safety of our staff, volunteers and older guests seriously. Our safeguarding policy (PDF) is in place to protect vulnerable adults and help support the work of local volunteers and staff.
If you have any concerns about an older guest please contact your local support officer.
All volunteers are covered by Public Liability Insurance whilst involved with the work of the charity. Drivers are expected to have car insurance and to let their insurance company know about their volunteering activity (which should not affect their premium).
We pay out-of-pocket expenses to Group Coordinators, to cover the extra administration (e.g. postage and telephone) and travel costs that can be incurred with this role.
Jacqueline Freakes Community fundraiser
I’d love to chat to you about the different ways in which you can support Re-engage by raising vital funds, funds that will help us reach even more older people.
From marathons to movie nights, bake sales to birthday fundraisers – there’s an activity to suit everyone.
Sarah Newell Corporate partnerships manager
Introductions through volunteers are a fantastic way to create partnerships with companies who want to help lonely older people.
If you think that your company would be interested in supporting us I would love to hear from you to discuss what we could do in return.
